“ We came to Chequers Inn for lunch during a visit to Poole for a family holiday. We were pleasantly greeted and served by Antonia who was polite, knowledgable and had good charisma. She offered her recommendations for food which we took and thoroughly enjoyed a Fish and Chips lunch. Would happily suggest as a place to go for young families wanting good value for money and a lovely meal with good service. ”
“ Great food, great prices, portions are a decent size, friendly staff ‘that care about their customers’ recent refurb has been tastefully done, ‘Ryan’ was the man that served all of our family at lunch time on the 30th of June, faultless performance i have to say, very professional taking care of us! “ We decided to celebrate our 39th Anniversary at the newly refurbished Chequers Inn and we certainly weren't disappointed. It was fabulous and we loved everything about it. We had the most delicious rump steak dinners, cooked to perfection and served beautifully in lovely surroundings - tastefully decorated and cosy. The owner greeted us warmly and like our waitress, Antonia, was very friendly and attentive. We really felt like valued customers and will definitely be going back! ”

“ I went to the Chequers today to celebrate my birthday with my wife and 2 young children. There was a great choice of food both in the kids menu and the adults. There was also a fun kids bag, which we had fun with.The food was fantastic, I had the mixed grill and my steak was perfect. My wife loved her Gammon and the kids loved their burgers. They have a good selection of drinks too, my favorite is the Neck Oil. Great work to the Chequers team, we will be back soon ”
“ Linda and I are from Cottingham in East Yorkshire, and I booked a table for today, Tuesday, and we fancied a nice lunch , we both had a steak sandwich with a side order of chips, in the sandwich was mushrooms and onions which was cooked fantastic, as we both wanted them cooking a bit differently and we both got what we asked for. We both had a sweet, which was delicious . And finished with a coffee which was good. Antonio, who served us, was very pleasant and friendly . The atmosphere was good and I liked all the plants as it gave a nice feeling to Chequers Inn. The next time we come down to this area, we will definitely be booking a table again and trying a different dish . Highly recommended! ”
